Kaleido the smallest, lightest, most precise insulin patch pump now with smartphone control, powered by Diabeloop DBLG2 and the Dexcom G7 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System – is available today. One pump. Smartphone controlled. A next-generation CGM with an all-in-one design1. All working together.
Kaleido weighs just 19 grams making it the smallest and lightest insulin patch pump in its class. It can be worn directly on the body with the 5 cm tube or carried in a pocket with its 30 cm tube. Waterproof, reusable, rechargeable, and available in ten colour combinations, Kaleido is designed to let you live your life on your own terms.
What’s new is full smartphone control. Kaleido is now controlled via the Diabeloop DBLG2 app on a user’s own phone so there is no need to carry another device. The app is available on Android now, with iOS to follow after the summer. The self-learning algorithm automatically adjusts insulin delivery in real time based on continuous glucose data from the Dexcom G7, progressively adapting to the individual over time. Night Mode, 29 activity modes, Meal Announce, and Fat Meal Mode give the system the flexibility to handle whatever the day brings. With over 10,000 real-world users across Europe2, real-world data of the first users show an average Time in Range of 77%3.
