September 1, 2020 – ViCentra announces the expansion of its Management Team with Boris Weber as VP Commercial. This comes shortly after ViCentra’s closing of a €10 million investment round to drive the international launch of Kaleido, the world’s smallest insulin pump for people with diabetes.
Boris has 20 years of experience in the diabetes industry, working in commercial positions all over Europe with Roche. His successes range from launching new products, implementing new business models and leading digital transformation projects. His appointment to the role of VP Commercial aligns with ViCentra’s plans for international growth with their flagship product Kaleido.
“Over the past few months Boris has shown he has the diabetes industry know how and leadership skills to succesfully lead our commercial team. Now that we’re getting ready to gear up the commercialization of Kaleido, it was a logical step to appoint Boris to the management team as our new VP of Commercial” says Frans Cromme, ViCentra’s CEO.
Boris joined ViCentra as Country Manager Germany early in 2020 and has made preparations for the launch of Kaleido in the world’s second biggest market when it comes to diabetes. Recently the legal entity was established in Germany to start the preparations to launch Kaleido.
